اللى يتولد ف الحى ما يضعش
Elli yetweled fil hayy ma yede'sh
Translation: Anyone born in the neighborhood is never lost.
Meaning: If you have a place to call home, you cannot feel lost in this world. The hayy, or neighbourhood, is a microcosm that embraces everyone who lives in it, gives them a sense of direction, offers them support, and takes care of them. So, if you're accepted in your own neighbourhood, you have all you need.
