A microbus and a truck have collided in Egypt's southwestern governorate of Al-Wadi Al-Gedid, killing at least seven people, a local security official told state news agency MENA.
The accident on the highroad to Kharga and Dakhla oases also injured seven people.
Road accidents, which official statistics say claim 18 lives a day, are commonplace in Egypt due to ill-maintained roads as well as disregard for traffic laws.
