موش مربط الفرس
Mosh marbat el faras
Translation: This is not the where the mare is tied
Meaning: This is not the point, or this is not where you tied your mare/horse. This is likely an old saying from Arabia, where various tribes needed horses for warfare purposes. In the more settled communities, as Egypt, horses were the equivalent of a sports car, great for special occasions, but not for everyday use. The settled people preferred donkeys and camels, steadiness to speed. For them, horses were mainly used in parades, and by the army and mail services.
