On Saturday 2 May, Mohamed Saad Basha will lead the Cairo Symphony Orchestra in an evening dubbed "In Jazz and Latin."
The concert will include George Gershwin's Girl Crazy Overture and a Symphonic Picture from Porgy and Bess; José Pablo Moncayo's Huapango, Arturo Marquez's Conga del Fuego and Alberto Ginastera's Estancia Suite.
Mohamed Saad Basha is an Egyptian composer and conductor with scores of concerts in a variety of Egypt's halls and with different formations. In 2010 he founded El-Sakia String Orchestra, of which he is also an artistic director and principle conductor. The orchestra performs chamber compositions mainly at El-Sawy Culture wheel's stage, bringing classical music to a younger audience.
