Bringing together seven dance artists and choreographers from five countries, By Chance contemporary dance festival will take place at Rawabet theatre.

The name of the festival is a result of a coincidence that brought all the performances together, after each initially planned on performing in Egypt at the same time. Instead, they decided to unite the dance pieces in one event; hence the name: By Chance.

The dance performances are supported by the British Council, the United States Embassy, Arts Council England, Arts Council Wales, Netherlands Performing Arts Fund, the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Townhouse Gallery, and Cairo Contemporary Dance Center.

The choreographers are from Egypt, USA, Holland, the UK and Canada. The performances will take place over the span of six days.

All performances start at 8 pm at Rawabet theatre, 3 Hussein Al-Memar Street, Cairo
