رجعت الميه لمجاريها
Reg’et el mayya le magariyah
Translation: The water is back to its channels.
Meaning: Things are back to normal after a period of disputes, during which neighbours and friends fell out. They talk and chat, with the ease of water running back into its normal course. The proverb is still in use and, due to its brevity and powerful imagery, often appears not just in conversation, but also in literature.
