20:40 The pitch turns into a carnival ahead of the game with a musical and dancing performance.

20:30 Fifteen minutes before kick-off. Social media users have already started their duel with abundance of posts related to the match.

20:00 Fans start to pack the stadium. The players step onto the pitch for the routine warm-up.

19:35 There are no surprises in the starting line-up of both sides. Juventus will rely on two strikers upfront, while their packed midfield and defence will be looking to stifle Barca's powerful attacking trident, who are known as "MSN".

19:30 We are expecting the starting line-ups shortly. Could be there any surprises?

19:00 Juventus will be relying on Tevez for goals. A Champions League winner with Manchester United in 2008, the Argentine's career appeared to freefall at Manchester City. But Tevez is thriving after two years at Juve and his radar for goal is working again.

Barca v Juventus strike force

18:40 On the field, the link-up between Neymar, Messi and $110-million 2014 recruit Luis Suarez has restored the attacking swagger that naysayers predicted had gone when the team failed to collect a single trophy last season. The terrifying trio up front has combined for 120 goals across all competitions.

18:10 Saturday's UEFA Champions League final could signal the end of a few players' careers with their clubs, with Xavi Hernandez is on his way out of Barcelona as well as Andrea Pirlo also appears to be nearing the end of his Juventus career

17:30 Juventus is back in the final for the first time since 2003 and the "Calciopoli" match-fixing scandal that emerged three years later.  The reputation of the so-called "Old Lady" of Turin has gradually been restored, with the club winning the last four Italian tiles. It now has a shot at lifting the European Cup for the first time since 1996.

17:00 A fourth Champions League title would enhance Messi's credentials to reclaim the Ballon D'Or trophy from Cristiano Ronaldo and become a five-time winner of soccer's top individual award.

16:45 The thousands of Barcelona and Juventus fans streaming into Berlin's Olympic Stadium for the Champions League final later on Saturday were confident the showpiece would knock the FIFA scandal off the front pages and out of people's minds.

16:00 Only six other clubs have ever won a domestic league and cup double and the European Cup in the same season, with Celtic's Lisbon Lions of 1967 the first.

15:15 For Barcelona, it would be a second such treble following their fantastic first season under Pep Guardiola in 2008-09, but such an achievement is very rare indeed

Barcelona

14:30 Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri and his Barcelona counterpart Luis Enrique have already enjoyed excellent debut seasons in charge of their respective clubs, both winning domestic league and cup doubles, and both are now within touching distance of making it a glorious treble

13:00 Juventus are appearing in their first Champions League final in 12 years as they look to win the European Cup for the third time, but Barcelona, inspired by Lionel Messi, are the favourites to win a fifth European Cup and fourth in the last decade

Juventus

11:45 Both Juventus and Barcelona are looking to cap fantastic seasons by completing rare trebles when they meet in the Champions League final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin on Saturday
