Egyptian officials deny that any rockets were fired from Sinai

The Islamic State jihadist group's affiliate in Egypt claimed responsibility for a rocket attack from the Sinai Peninsula into southern Israel on Friday.
 
"Three Grad rockets were fired at Jewish positions in occupied Palestine," the "Sinai Province" group said in a statement on Twitter.
 
Israeli police said earlier they had found rocket remnants in an open area.
 
No damage or casualties resulted.
 
An Israeli army source said the missile was launched from the Sinai Peninsula bordering Israel and Gaza.
 
However, Egyptian officials denied that any rockets had been fired from Sinai.
