On 8 August, Camel Vibes will bring their amalgam of Middle Eastern music, classical Indian dance, electronic fusion and Arabic poetry to Zamalek’s Elbet Alwan.

Founded in Goa, India in 2014, Camel Vibes experiments with contemporary and traditional art forms.

Its line-up includes Maria K (vocals, harmonium, tabla, dance) and Dimitry Rusi (oud, buzuk, bass, electronics).

Both musicians have a profound knowledge and experience in their respective fields. Maria K spent many years studying Kathak dance and music in India and Russia, while Rusi completed his musical studies in Russia and Egypt.

Camel Vibes has collaborated with an array of Indian, Russian and Turkish artists at a number of concerts and performances held in Russia and India.

The duet will be accompanied by Egyptian musicians on percussion and oriental stringed instruments.
