Seven Egyptian swimmers achieved eleven records during their participation in the 2015 World Aquatics Championships in Kazan, Russia.
Ahmed Akram:
· 1500 m freestyle: reached the final and placed 4th with 14:53.66 seconds
· 400 m freestyle: placed 10th with 3:48.07 seconds to beat the record of countryman Marwan El Kamash
· 800 m freestyle: placed 9th with 7:49.83 seconds, missing the final with one place difference
Farida Osman:
· 50 m butterfly: reached the final, finishing 5th with 25.78s to break the African record in the semifinals & finals
· 100 m butterfly: broke the national record when she placed 16th in the preliminaries, failing to reach the semis with a time of 58.4:31.54, while qualified Elizabeth Rachael achieved 58.4:31.08
Mohamed Hussein:
· 200 m individual medley: qualified for the semifinal of the event after placing 16th in the preliminaries and finished 16th in the semis with 2:01.41s to earn a qualifying ticket to the Rio Games
Marwan El-Kamash:
· 400 m freestyle: finished 16th with 3:48.15s
· 200 m freestyle: broke Egypt's record, placing 17th in the event but failing to reach the semis
Youseff El-Kamash:
· 100 m breaststroke: broke his own record of 1:02.42s with a time of 1:02.01s
· 50 m breaststroke: broke his own record with 28.05
The 400 free relay: Omar Eid, Hussein, Marwan El-Kamash and Ali Khalafalla teamed up to smash their record by four seconds, finishing with 3:20.59
