Augsburg says it has signed Ghana defender Daniel Opare from Porto on a three-year deal.
The Bundesliga club was one of the surprise teams last season and qualified for the Europa League following its fifth-place finish.
Opare spent the last half of last season on loan at Turkish club Besiktas.
Financial details of the deal were not given.
