Youngster Zied El-Seheifimakes his debut against Ahly in Egypt's Cup

Zied El-Seheifi became the youngest ever Egyptian to play in an official game at the age of 14 when he featured for Gouna in their crushing defeat to Ahly 13-0 in the Egypt Cup round of 16 on Thursday.

The Red Sea based-club had to play the game with its youth team as most of their players and German coach Rainer Zobel left following the club's relegation into Egypt's second division.

Zied, the son of Gouna's football director Ahmed El-Seheifi, came onto the pitch in the 38th minute of the game as a third substitute when his side was already 5 goals down.

Born in 2001, the little Gouna number 7 was gently welcomed by Ahly players and he was keen to shake hands with most of the stars, particularly Ahmed Fathi with whom he exchanged jerseys with at the end of the game.

El-Seheifi stripped former Ghazl El-Mahala star Mohamed El-Seyagi of his record from the sixties when the then 16-year-old midfielder made his debut with Ghazl El-Mahalla in a league game.

However, it was not a fortunate experience to witness such a record defeat for the new kid.

The 13-0 record victory is the highest registered in an official game in Egyptian football since the 11-0 league win for Masry against Beni Suef in 1962/1963 season and Olympic 11-0 win against El-Tag El Malaki in the King Cup in 1929.

Ahly's new-signings enjoyed the party as Ghanaian striker John Antwi scored four goals while Gabon striker Malik Evouna and fullback Ahmed Fathi also scored their first goals with their new team.

A double from Abdallah El-Said and goals from Ramadan Sobhi, Hossam Ghaly and an own goal from Mohamed Shamseddin completed the rout.

Ahly will face Ittihad El-Shorta in the competition's quarters on Sunday.
