Cooler weather expected across Egypt from Saturday

Egypt's state weather agency expects moderate weather to prevail across Egypt on Saturday, according to a statement issued on Friday.

Cairo is expected to see a high of 36 degrees Celsius and a low of 27 on Saturday. Alexandria will experience a high of 32 degrees and a low of 27, while the resort town of Sharm El-Sheikh in Sinai is expected to experience a high of 41 degrees and a low of 31.

Egypt has seen unusually hot weather over the past two weeks with temperatures of over 40 degrees in Cairo.

At least 110 people around the country have died as a result of the hot weather, the government has said.
