Ahly have completed the signing of Sporting Lisbon defender Rami Rabie, the Cairo giants announced on Monday.
The 22-year-old penned a five-year contract with Ahly, ending speculation over his future with Lisbon and returning to his homegrown club.
The Egypt international moved to Lisbon from Ahly in the summer of 2014 but failed to establish himself at the Portuguese outfit after falling out with coach Jorge Jesus.
Rabia is among five defenders who have been called up by Egypt coach Hector Cuper for the upcoming African Cup qualifier in Chad on 6 September.
After losing the league title for the first time since 2005, Ahly are looking to strengthen their squad before the new season.
Rabia is the Reds' seventh new-signing during the current summer transfer window.
