Egypt's core inflation rate slowed to its lowest since February 2013 to hit 5.6 percent in August compared to 6.5 percent in July, the central bank of Egypt (CBE) announced on Thursday.
General prices soared in Egypt after the government raised fuel prices in July 2014 as part of its fiscal reform plan that aims to reduce the country's ballooning budget deficit.
