A woman and a child died while 15 others were injured on Friday in a microbus accident in southwest Egypt's El-Dakhla- Farafra road, state-owned news agency MENA reported.
Initial investigations suggest the microbus driver lost control of the driving wheel, causing the accident.
Thousands of lives are lost on Egypt's roads every year due to poor driving, badly maintained roads and loose traffic regulations.
According to figures from Egypt's Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS), a total of 14,403 road accidents in 2014 led to the death of 6,226 people and the injury of 24,154 others.
