Showing acceptance for diversity and setting social media platforms ablaze in the last few days was the photo shoot that showcased H&M upcoming denim fall collection.
The apparel chain showed an array of models, among who for the first time were Sikh men in turbans, and a woman in head scarves, represented by model Maria Hidrissi.
Hidrissi was featured wearing wide pants and a pink coat, topping them with statement sunglasses and a headscarf.
In the first two days of releasing the photos, they went viral with over 12k retweet and 14k favorites.
Many comments described the shoots as a positive step towards encouraging acceptance of diversity among youth, and recognizing wide sectors that were largely ignored previously among fashion adverts.
