Amid preparations for the African Champions League, Wydad of Morocco signed a four-year contract with Yacine Rami

Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca have landed Hassania d'Agadirleft winger Yacine Rami from in a four-season deal.

The 24-year-old defender, who plays as a midfielder in addition to his striking skills, is the fourth recent transfer for the Morocco giants after Hicham Amarni, Yssin Lakhal and Youssef Kaddioui.

The four newcomers are registered in Wydad’s Aftrican squad, with whom they will meet Egypt champions Ahly on Sunday in round 16 of the CAF champions League in Cairo Military Stadium behind closed doors.

The Cairo giants, record winners of Africa’s premier club competition, with six titles under their belt, have clinched their seventh successive Egyptian Premier League title last week.

Wydad will also face MC Alger and Esperance of Tunisia in the tough Group B of the Champions League.
