Ivory Coast's Yaya Toure (Reuters)
Manchester City's Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure has dismissed suggestions that he has quit his international duties, adding that he is ready to represent his country next year.
The four-time African player of the year has not represented his country, at his own request, since their Africa Cup of Nations title in February.
"I am not part of the squad list for the games against Liberia, but my heart is with them," Toure told the African Confederation official website on Wednesday.
"I think the next fixture after this will be in 2016, when the qualification for the 2017 African Nations Cup continues. In any case, I'll be ready."
Ivory Coast are preparing for their upcoming World Cup qualifier clashes against Liberia.
They will face Liberia away in the first-leg on Friday before hosting the second-leg four days later in Abidjan.
