بكره نقعد علي الحيطة ونسمع العيطه
Bokra noq’od ala el heita we nesma el eita
Translation: Tomorrow we will sit on the wall and hear the weeping.
Meaning: You’ll live to regret it. This rhyming proverb was popular a generation ago and may be heard occasionally today. The couplet hints that your friends may have to hear you complain about making a decision that they previously warned you against.
