A plane carrying the body of an Egyptian national who was killed during the deadly Paris attacks last week arrived in Cairo late Friday, the MENA state news agency reported.

Saleh Al-Gebaly, 28, was among at least 130 killed last Friday during a string of coordinated attacks that targeted restaurants, a concert hall and struck near a sports stadium in the French capital.

Al-Gebaly's funeral was held Saturday dawn in Tanta in the Nile Delta governorate of Gharbiya.

Another Egyptian, whose passport was found by police near the stadium, was wounded in last week's assault.

Waleed Abdel-Razzak, 27, is now being treated at a hospital in the north-western suburb of Clichy, Paris. He had been mistakenly portrayed by some media outlets as a suspect in the assault.

The deadly Paris attacks prompted France to declare a state of emergency and led EU ministers to agree at emergency talks in Brussels Friday to tighten checks on all travellers in the passport-free Schengen zone.
