Leicester striker Jamie Vardy scored for the 10th straight English Premier League game on Saturday, tying the record held by former Manchester United star Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The England international struck in first-half injury time to give his team a 1-0 lead against Newcastle at St. James' Park.

Vardy's run began when he scored against Bournemouth on Aug. 29.

Van Nistelrooy has held the record since achieving the feat in 2003, when he scored in 10 games in a row across two seasons.
