Zamaek have appointed Tarek Mostafa and Sami El-Shishini as assistant coaches as part of the team's technical staff.

Former Portuguese manager Jesualdo Ferreira made a surprise exit this week after a successful season where he inspired Zamalek to win both the Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup, the first time the team has won the domestic double since 1988.

No final decision regarding a new coach has been made yet as the Cairo-based club is negotiating with many prospective successors to Ferreira, some of them foreigners.

The Whites are currently on a long domestic break as many of their players are engaged with the Egyptian national teams.

They are sitting in third position in the league table with 10 points from four games, two behind first placed El-Dakheliya who have played an extra more.
