The 8th Panorama of the European Film starts Wednesday 25 November, and runs for 10 days offering an impressive 65 films across 10 venues
This year the festival will begin with the Italian My Mother (Mia Madre) as the opening film, screening at 9:45.
The French-Italian production is directed by Nanni Moretti, and has won several awards including the Ecumenical Jury Prize at Cannes.
According to their press release, "the opening will host all the partners of the 8th edition of the Panorama and will be presented by Panorama President Marianne Khoury, along with Mr Sébastian Trenner, representative of the European Union, the co-funder of the Panorama, and a representative of the Italian Culture Institute, one of its main partners. Esteemed members of the film industry will be among the guests."
Zawya and Karim cinemas will begin Panorama’s screenings on Wednesday morning starting 10:30 am.
