A Swiss national committed suicide on Friday in the Egyptian resort town of Hurghada for "wanting to die in Egypt," Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.
In a letter to the police, the unnamed female, 55, also reasoned her suicide for not wanting to return to her country.
The letter, written in her own handwriting, also read that she "regrets her suicide attempt," asking the police to deliver her dead body to her daughter for burial services in Switzerland's Zurich.
According to the police, she committed suicide inside a room in one of the resorts by electrocuting herself inside the bathtub.
