A 2015 documentary by French environmentalist Yann Arthus-Bertrand received Egypt's Audience Award at this year's Panorama of the European Film.

The film is being screened during the Panorama's closing event taking place Saturday, 5 December, at the French Institute.

According to information provided by the Panorama organisers, Human, an over three-hour long documentary, "is a collection of stories about, and images of, our world, offering an immersion to the core of what it means to be human."

The film premiered at the 2015 Venice International Film Festival.

The 8th edition of the Panorama of the European Film kicked off 25 November and continued until 5 December with a diverse selection of films that included 37 feature films, 12 documentaries and 16 shorts.

This year the screenings took place across four Egyptian cities: Cairo, Alexandria, Tanta and Minya.
