ما كل من ركب الحصان خيال
Ma koll men rekeb el hosan khayyal
Translation: Not everyone who rides a horse is a jockey.
Meaning: This proverb, of Bedouin origin, advises listeners not to be fooled by appearance. Not everyone who owns a horse is a skilled rider, just as everyone who owns books is not necessarily well-educated, for example.
