Ahly's Abdalla El-Said (Al-Ahram)
Ahly's Egyptian league game against Harras El-Hodoud has been rescheduled for Tuesday upon the latter team's request, which came after the venue was changed on Sunday.
Although Ahly are the hosts, the game will now take place at Borg El-Arab Stadium in Alexandria, El-Hodoud's city, after the Reds refused to play at Cairo's Petro Sport Stadium.
After last week's 2-0 loss at Zamalek, El-Hodoud stayed in Cairo thinking that they would face Ahly in the capital on Monday as originally scheduled.
When the venue was changed, the military side called on the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) to put off the game because they wouldn't have enough time to return to Alexandria on Monday.
Ahly said they don't want any of their games to be held at Petro Sport Stadium because it is narrow, which doesn't suit their offensive tactics and gives their opponents a better chance to organise their defence.
They asked the EFA to move their remaining games in the domestic league to anther stadium, naming Cairo Stadium, Air Defence Stadium in Cairo and Borg El-Arab Stadium as alternatives.
For security reasons the interior ministry, which is responsible for securing matches, turned down the former two venues. Both of them are situated relatively close to the heart of Cairo, unlike Borg El-Arab that is located on the outskirts of Alexandria.
Ahly have struggled this season, lying ninth on the league table with nine points, scoring four goals in five games. Harras El-Hodoud is second from bottom on the table with three points from eight games.
