A man from Egypt's Delta governorate of Kafr El-Sheikh was killed by a low ranking police officer on Monday in the town of Beyla following a car crash, Al Ahram Arabic news website reported.
Eyewitnesses told Al Ahram that following the crash, the man, who was in his twenties, refused to stop his car and attempted to drive away. At this point, the low ranking police officer chased him and shot him in the head.
Following the incident, the low ranking officer turned himself in to the authorities, eyewitnesses said.
