Between 17 and 21 January, the French Institute in Cairo brings a vibrant French Film Week to its Cairene audience, featuring five films, one of which will be screened in honor of the late Belgian director Chantal Akerman, who passed away in October 2015.

17 January, 8pm
Bande De Filles or Girlhood (Céline Sciamma, 2014) in the presence of actresses Karidja Touré and Assa Sylla.
18 January, 7pm
Screening of a film in partnership with the 2016 edition of My French Film Festival. The film’s name will be announced before the screening.
19 January, 7pm
Bird People (Pascale Ferran, 2014)
20 January, 7pm
Je, Tu, Il, Elle (Chantal Akerman, 1976) in honor of the late director.
21 January, 7pm
Eden (Mia Hansen-Løve, 2013)
