Medics say that Ahly midfielder pair Hossam Ashour and Walid Soliman have recovered from injuries and are ready to return to the field, starting with the El-Dakhleya game on Thursday, the 14th match-day of the Egyptian Premier League.

"The two midfielders are fit for Thursday league game," the club's doctor Khaled Mahmoud told Ahly's official website.

Soliman, 31, had missed Sunday's Arab Contractors 3-1 victory due to an ankle injury while Ashour, 29, was suffering from a fever.

The record-holders -- with 37 trophies -- are bidding to win back their favourite championship after they lost to arch-rivals Zamalek last season.

They are currently second in the table with 25 points from 11 matches, the same as leaders Masry who have played a game more; a single point separates the pair from title-holders Zamalek who lie in third place.
