Hosts Egypt continued its fine run in the African Cup of Nations after beating Cameroon 30-20 for its third straight win in Group A.

The Pharaohs dominated from the early stages, going to the locker room with a comfortable 17-10 lead.

They widened the gap in the second period to remain in charge of the group with maximum six points from three matches, two ahead of Algeria and Morocco.

Egypt also beat Algeria and Nigeria in its opening two matches as it eyes its first Nations Cup triumph since 2008, the year which also marked its last Olympic participation.

Egypt next faces Gabon on Monday with a quarter-final berth almost guaranteed.

The tournament's winner will reach the summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro while the top three will qualify for next year's World Championship in France.
