Temperatures will continue to decrease and unstable weather will last in most governorates until the end of the week, Egypt's Meteorological Authority head Ahmel Abdel-Al told Ahram Daily newspaper.
Cairo has witnessed a wet Tuesday morning, as well as foggy and windy weather.
Temperatures will reach between 7 and 9 degrees Celsius, Abdel-Al said.
Abdel-Al also said it will be cloudy in the north of the country and the northern coasts will see heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Alexandria and Dekheila ports have been closed since the beginning of the week and remain closed Tuesday due to rain, storms, and high waves.
Alexandria has seen a drop in temperatures, storms, and heavy wind.
Traffic has also been disrupted in many governorates, which prompted authorities to send trucks to remove water from bridge exits and tunnels.
