العجلة عطلة
El agala atala
Translation: Haste is delay.
Meaning: People who act in haste tend to make mistakes that hinder their progress. This proverb is one of a genre that advises people to take their time in order to get things right. Another one, which is more common, is “fil ta’anni al salama wa fil agala al nadama,” meaning “in slowness there is safety and in hurriedness there is regret.”
