Newly promoted side Aswan have completed the signing of Berekum Chelsea's Ghanaian striker Kofi Owusu, the Upper Egyptian club announced on Monday.

The 24-year-old was the Ghanaian league's top scorer last season after scoring 19 goals in 16 appearances.

Owusu came through the youth ranks of Ghana's King Faisal before joining the Aduana stars in the summer of 2013 but failed to impress with his new club.

In the following summer he joined Berekum Chelsea where he produced many fine displays with the club.

Aswan are looking to strengthen their frontline that have scored 17 goals in 16 matches.

The recently promoted side are 13th in the league table with 18 points.
