من عاير أبتلى و لو بعد حين
Men ayer ebtala wa law ba’d heen
Translation: He who ridicules others will get his sooner or later.
Meaning: There is a bit of “what goes around comes around” in this saying. Also a bit of hubris, where those who are so insensitive they gloat over the misfortunes of others would have their turn at being afflicted and despised.
