Former Egypt and Ahly forward Mohamed Nagy ''Gedo'' scored a hattrick to inspire El-Entag El-Harby to a thumping 3-0 win over Ismaily in the Egyptian League on Thursday.

The 31-year-old Gedo, who was Egypt's hero during the triumphant 2010 Cup on Nations' campaign, grabbed all his goals in the second half, scoring in the 58th and 80th minute before completing the treble with a stoppage-time penalty.

Since his summer move from Ahly to Entag, managed by ex-Egypt boss Shawki Gharib, Gedo has added four goals so far to his name.

Entag, who lie in seventh place, condemned the Dervishes to their first defeat under new coach Khaled El-Kammash – who recently led them to a vital 1-0 win over league holders Zamalek before being held to a 1-1 draw by newly-promoted Aswan.

Elsewhere, ENPPI managed to overcome Haras El-Hodoud 1-0, courtesy of a 76th-minute goal from Mahmoud Kaoud at Alexandria's Max Stadium.

The win took ENPPI to eighth place on 25 points, three ahead of Ismaily who are 10th.

Earlier in the day, Aswan edged out Alexandria's Ittihad 1-0, thanks to an early fifth-minute goal from Ibrahim El-Kadi.

Both Aswan and Ittihad are level on 22 points, with the newcomers lying 11th and the Alexandrians in 12th spot.
