Warmer weather is expected to prevail across Egypt starting Sunday.

Following weeks of wet and foggy weather across much of northern Egypt, temperatures will increase during the coming week.

Cairo will see a high of 27 degrees Celsuis and a low of 12 on Sunday, while Alexandria will see a high of 25 degrees and a low of 13.

The Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh is expected to witness a high of 27 and a low of 16, while Hurghada will see a high of 19 and a low of 13.

Upper Egypt's southern governorates will enjoy slightly warmer temperatures, with Luxor reaching a high of 28 and a low of 8, and Aswan reaching a high of 29 and a low of 11.

The country's meteorological authority is advising citizens to keep warm during night hours when temperatures are lower.
