Zamalek new coach Alex McLeish will be presented at 0900 GMT on Saturday, the Cairo giants announced on their official website on Thursday.

The Scottish coach has agreed an 18-month contract to take over as manager of the Egyptian champions, succeeding sacked Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam who was shown the door following the team's 2-0 loss to archrival Ahly in the Cairo derby earlier this month.

The 57-year-old McLeish will be Zamalek's fourth coach this season.

It is likely that McLeish would start his mission with Zamalek on Wednesday when they face  Intag Harby in a league game.

Zamalek are in second place in the Egyptian league with 38 points, three behind leaders Ahly.
