Gazing at the Sky, a painting exhibition by Egyptian artist Sabah Naim, will open in Safarkhan Art Gallery in Zamalek on 15 March and will run until 6 April.

Egyptian artist Mohamed Abla describes the exhibition as a reminder of the charming and ambiguous world of Sabah.

"The artist commences its world with primitively composed flowers in the simplest fashion an artist can ever draw in a consecutive motion and sequential rhythm, making such simple flowers as if its heart's or life beat and resembling sighs or glorifications,” Abla’s words read in the exhibitions press release.

“Such simple flowers are how Sabah writes her mystic scripts about common merits between creatures despite severe disparity and difference of trees, palm trees, sky, and stars," Abla continues.

Sabah Naim was born in Cairo1967 and graduated from the college of Art Education in 1990. She has had several solo and group exhibitions since 1993.

Some of her art works are in the collection of the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art, and also in private collections in Egypt, Italy, the USA, and the Netherlands.

Opening: Tuesday 15 March
The exhibition runs until Wednesday 6 April, 2016
Safarkhan Art Gallery: 6 Brazil Street, Zamalek, Cairo.
