Pharoahs must beat Ivory Coast on Friday to advance to the next round

Egypt suffered a 96 – 81 loss to Cameroon in their first African Basketball Championship game on Wednesday.

The Egyptian team were dominated in the four quarters of the game by a fit and talented Cameroonian team who succeeded in ending the match 15 points up.

Earlier that day, Ivory Coast thrashed South Africa 105 – 53 in another match of the same group.

Egypt are third in group C, only point behind Ivory Coast and Cameroon who are both leading the group with 2 points.  

The Pharaohs must beat Ivory Coast on Friday, their second game of group C, to reach the next round.    

The top two teams in the group will advance to the next round.
