Music aficionados will be treated to a night of ney and percussion at ROOM Art Space on 17 June.

Ney player Mohamed Antar and percussionist Ayman Mabrouk will come together to perform selections from the Arabic music repertoire.

Mohamed Antar teaches and performs in Egypt and internationally, spreading the Arabic classical music tradition from London to Tokyo and from Istanbul to Dubai.

Ayman Mabrouk is an established percussionist, mixing "darbuka, riq, dohola, frame drums, cajon, djembe, congas, naghara, bongos and many others with western ones to make a fusion of sound between different cultures and identities," his official Facebook page states.
