Darb 1718, in collaboration with the Danish Egyptian Dialogue Institute (DEDI), will screen the Danish film Silent Heart (Stille Hjerte) as part of its newly introduced Danish film night on Sunday 17 July.

The 2014 Danish drama is directed by Bille August and centres on three generations of a family that come together over the course of a weekend.

As the film unravels, we see how “a sick mother’s wish to die before her disease worsens gets harder to handle as old conflicts come to the surface,” event’s description reads on Facebook.

Programme:
Sunday 17 July at 8.30pm

Darb 1718, Cinema El Fourn, Kasr El-Shamaa Street, Al Fakhareen, Old Cairo
