The referee blows his final whistle, Zamalek make it four Egypt Cup triumphs in a row after a 3-1 victory over arch rivals Ahly. 

90+1' Another red card for Ahly!! Fathi is also sent off after receiving a second booking for a handball. 

90' Zamalek keeper El-Shennawi tips over a deceiving freekick from Mido Gaber from the right. 

88' At the other end, Ahly's right-back Ahmed Fathi is booked for hauling down Morsi, who was getting close to the penalty area on a counter attack. 

87' Zamalek's Yussuf is booked for a challenge on Mido Gaber on the right, but the ensuing free kick is cleared by the defence. 

86' A chance for Ahly!! A cross is poorly cleared and central defender Rabia turns and hits a volley that goes wide. 

85' Five minutes remaining and Zamalek are still enjoying a two-goal lead. 

83' A red card for Ahly!! Hossam Ghaly receives a second yellow card for a high-studs challenge on Morsi. 

81' Ahly are pushing forward en masse, but clear-cut chances are scarce.

75' Zamalek make their third and final substitution. Ali Fathi is replaced with defensive midfielder Ibrahim Salah, who returned to the club in the summer after a loan spell with Smouha. 

74' A poor defensive clearance from Islam Gamal finds Ahly striker Meteb but his volley goes high over from inside the area. 

72' Abdallah El-Said tries his luck from distance in a desperate attempt for Ahly but it goes wide. 

68' Ahly make their final substitution. Defensive midfielder Hossam Ashour replaced with newly-arrived attacking midfielder Mido Gaber. 

66' Zamalek netted the third goal against the run of play, making things difficult for Ahly to stage a comeback. 

65' Zamalek make their second substitution. Playmaker Ayman Hefni, who created the third goal for Fathi, makes way for newly-arrived left wing-back Mohamed Nassef. 

65' Ahly skipper Hossam Ghaly also receives a yellow card for a reckless foul on Bassem Morsi. 

63' Ahly make their second substitution. Soliman, who is notably affected by his injury, is replaced with newly-arrived striker Marwan Mohsen.

59' A superb goal from substitute Fathi makes it 3-1!! In a rare counter attack, Hefni sends a delicate chip over the defence and into the talented winger, who bamboozles Samir with a wonderful feint and sends the ball over the keeper and into the corner of the net. 


58' Ahly make their first substitution. Amr Gamal is replaced with veteran striker Emad Meteb. 

57' Zamalek are struggling to even gain some possession. 

55' Gamal once again fails to connect with a cross from Walid Soliman.

54' The lively Walid Soliman suffers an injury scare but will carry on. 

51' Zamalek make their first substitution, Shikabala is replaced by pacy winger Mostafa Fathi. 

49' Ahly pick up from where they left off in the first half, mounting an early onslaught in the second period. 

46' What a chance for Ahly!! They are unlucky not to go level after Moemen Zakareya struck the bar from close range with the goal at his mercy after being fed by a superb chipped free kick from Abdallah El-Said.

45+1' Walid Soliman cuts inside from the right and sends a curling shot that goes narrowly wide. 

45' The referee adds five minutes of stoppage time. 

44' An attempted volley from Amr Gamal hits a teammate and goes out for a goal kick. Ahly are much better!

41' Ahly are outplaying their opponents on the flanks. Right winger Walid Soliman in particular is causing constance menace to Zamalek's left-back Ali Fathi. 

39' Amr Gamal sends a long-range shot on the turn but it goes over the crossbar. 

38' Another shot from Abdallah El-Said from the edge of the area is handled by El-Shennawi. Ahly are still laying siege to Zamalek's area. 

37' A free kick from Ahly winger Walid Soliman goes out. 

35' Ahly winger Moemen Zakareya is fed on the edge of the area but his weak shot is easily collected by El-Shennawi. Ahly look livelier now!  

34' Spot-kick specialist Abdallah El-Said sends El-Shennawi the wrong way as Ahly get back in an exciting game. 


32' Amr Gamal falls down after being tugged by Islam Gamal as the referee points to the spot. 


30' Can Ahly stage a comeback? still too early to tell. 

28' A header by Amr Gamal goes over the bar as Ahly try to narrow the deficit after going 2-0 down. 

25' Morsi shoots straight down the middle as Ahmed Adel goes the wrong way. Zamalek gain an early 2-0 lead!


24' Shikabala is pushed in the area by the helpless Samir as the referee points to the spot. 


23' Zamalek go ahead in similar fashion to last year's cup final, when Morsi scored a double to give them a 2-0 win. 

20' Morsi opens the scoring! Zamalek play a quick free kick on the left and Shikabala whips in a diagonal cross, with Morsi escaping the attention of Samir to slide the ball itno the net from close range. 


20' Both sides are struggling to carve out openings in a very cautious affair. 

17' Ahly move the ball around smoothly. Amr Gamal tries to connect with cross from left-back Sabri Rahil but he mis-hits his attempted bicycle kick.  

15' No threats at either end after quarter of an hour. 

14' Ahly start to gain more possession after a slow start. 

10' Samir will continue the match with a bandaged face. 

9' Samir is still receiving treatment after being elbowed. 

7' Zamalek striker Bassem Morsi is booked for elbowing Ahly defender Saad Samir. He is lucky to escape a red card. 

6' Lone striker Amr Gamal sends a high cross out for a goal kick as Ahly attempt to push forward. 

4' Hefni tries another through pass but the ball goes straight into the hands of Ahly keeper Ahmed Adel. Hefni looks lively in the early stages. 

2' Zamalek's lone striker Bassem Morsi fails to get on the end of a through pass from playmaker Ayman Hefni.

19:50 Zamalek make one change to the side which crushed Ismaily 4-0 in the semis, with Nigerian midfielder Maarouf Yussuf replacing Ramzi Khaled. 

19:35 Ahly make three changes to the side which beat ENPPI in the cup semi-final. Sabri Rahil plays as a left-back instead of new arrival Ali Maaloul of Tunisia, Ahmed Fathi replaces Mohamed Hani as a right-back and Amr Gamal is fielded as a lone striker instead of Marwan Mohsen.

16:15 Ahly will be missing solid centre-back Ahmed Hegazy due to injury, with Saad Samir set to deputise, alongside striker John Antwi for the same reason.

15:40 Zamalek will have to do without playmaker Mohamed Ibrahim, who sustained a long-term ankle injury in a Champions League game a few weeks back, as well as centre-back Mohamed Koffi, who went AWOL in protest over the club's failure to pay him his late dues.

14:30 Having reclaimed the domestic league title after losing their treasured trophy to Zamalek last season, Ahly will now be hoping that things would go their way in Monday's final. 
Zamalek, on the other hand, have their own motivations to beat Ahly in the final, which they have now reached for the fifth consecutive time.

13:30 Ahly will be determined to exact revenge on reigning champions Zamalek, for last year's 2-0 Egypt Cup final defeat, when the arch-rivals lock horns once again in the competition's same stage on Monday.
