Egyptian runner Hamada Mohamed has reached the 800m semi-finals after finishing fourth in heat two at 1:46.65 minutes on Friday.
The 23-year-old athlete finished 16th in the overall ranking and will take part in the semi-finals on Saturday at 3:05 Cairo time.
Olympic and world champion David Rudisha of Kenya finished first as expected and timed 1:45.09m.
