Torrential rain forced Serie A officials to postpone the Genoa v Fiorentina Serie A fixture at half-time on Sunday.
After an opening disrupted by the weather, poor visibility and poor playing conditions, Serie A officials announced the match had been postponed.
Meanwhile, the Roma v Sampdoria fixture is also expected to be called off after the pitch was turned into a lake following a spectacular downpour.
Sampdoria held a 2-1 lead at the Stadio Olimpico after goals from Fabio Quagliarella and Luis Muriel cancelled out Mohamed Salah's opener for the hosts.
But by then the pitch was sporting a thick layer of hailstones and at the start of the second half huge puddles were apparent on the pitch.
