Wydad's youngster Reda Hajhouj said on Monday he would prefer that his side face a different team than Zamalek in the Champions League semis, adding that the anticipated game would be "like a final."

The Cairo giants will host Wydad in the first-leg of the Champions League semis in Cairo on Friday before heading to Morocco on the 24th of this month.

“I would rather we had avoided Zamalek at this stage, so that there could be two Arab teams in the final," Hajhouj told FIFA's official website on Monday.

"Everyone knows that finals between Arab clubs are exciting and entertaining.

"This semi-final is going to be a bit like a final, I think.”

The 22-year-old is a key player in Wydad's Champions League run this season scoring six goals in the competition so far.
