Egypt winger Mohamed Salah scored and created another goal as AS Roma crushed Crotone 4-0 in the Italian Serie A on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old continued his fine start to the season after making it 2-0 against Crotone with a 37th-minute goal after a fine move.

He neatly exchanged passes with Stephan El Shaarawy, scorer of the opening goal, before rifling a left-foot shot into the roof of the net from inside the area.

Salah was recently criticised by Roma coach Luciano Spalletti for being wasteful in front of goal but he looked sharp against lowly Crotone, setting up Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko for the team's fourth goal on 57 minutes.

He ran half the length of the pitch before sending in a low cross that eluded a defender and found Dzeko for an easy tap-in.

The former Chelsea man netted three goals in five league appearances, having also scored in victories over Udinese and Sampdoria.
