Vesna is a middle-aged visiting nurse in Zagreb. Quietly she goes about her daily life of mundane chores: babysitting for her son, helping her daughter to prepare for her wedding. Out of the blue she gets a call from her husband Zarko, who left his family on the eve of the war to fight for "the other side". His reappearance sends her carefully reconstructed life into a tailspin, endangering her new identity.

As Hatun tries to save up enough money to buy a home in a neighborhood where she cleans houses, Nesrin struggles with the absence of her husband and her own loneliness, while also trying to find a way through life with her five year-old daughter. The paths of these two women may be different, but their companionship is enduring as they cling to disparate dreams.

The film is a dark comedy set in Tbilisi, Georgia. It tells the story of Levan, a man in his forties, who is suddenly led to question his existence because of a routine medical examination. This apparently minor event turns into the complete reassessment of his life, as he finds himself caught in a downward spiral of paranoia and doubt as he fumbles his way through the theatre of the absurd that we call life. Then a serendipitous event occurs... Using a playful tone and humor, the film examines the psychological nature of mankind when our bearings get lost and our imagination takes over, highlighting our common fears,fragility, hopes and resilience.

In the vast rooms of an ancient villa, Anna spends her days in solitude. Only the footsteps of Pietro, the handyman, break the silence. Unexpectedly, Jeanne arrives, a young woman saying she is the girlfriend of Anna’s son, Giuseppe. He has invited her to spend a few days together but he’s not there. Soon he will be back, says Anna, unable to reveal an unspeakable truth. As the days go by, the two women slowly get to know each other and together they wait for Easter Day when Giuseppe will finally come home.

About to run away, she decides to stay with cantankerous old Satomi, the last geisha of Fukushima, who decided to retreat back to her ruined house in the formerly radioactive Exclusion Zone. Two women who couldn‘t be more different, but who, each in her own way, are trapped in the past and must learn to liberate themselves from guilt and the burden of memory.

One of Bonaparte’s generals, Caffarelli, a scientist and a humanist, makes friends with two of them, Aly and Yehia. While the resistance fighters set against the bloody oppression, Caffarelli, leaves all warlike concerns behind and rebels himself Bonaparte’s destructive conquests.

What he didn't anticipate, however, was that submerging oneself into the world of the target also changes the surveillance agent. Lola's desperate plan; find the money somehow, somewhere, in 20 minutes. The story of Lola's run is told three times, each time with small differences, affecting the outcome and the fate of the characters.
