Ahly’s football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz revealed on Monday that injured midfielder Walid Soliman will undergo medical tests to determine his condition prior to the game against Ittihad of Alexandria in the fourth week of the Egyptian Premier League on Friday.

“Soliman's situation regarding the game against Ittihad will be determined on Wednesday,” the Ahly football director was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

The 26-year-old winger, a new Ahly signing, injured his groin in the 2-2 draw with his former club Petrojet last Tuesday.

Talented midfielder Mohamed Barakat joined his team's Monday training session after four months of absence due to a fractured arm, but his participation in the Alexandria trip had yet to be confirmed, according to the club’s website.

On the other hand, the Cairo giants’ midfielder Moataz Eno revealed that he is close to leaving Ahly when the winter transfer widow re-opens next January, as he has received an offer from a Turkish team.

“I will hold a meeting with Ahly's football director next Wednesday to negotiate the Turkish offer,” Eno said.

“I can’t appeal to stay with the team as I haven't played in the previous nine games,” he added. “Jose concentrates on specific players and doesn’t pay attention to the rest of the squad.”
